Byron Bay is known for its alternative lifestyle.  All you need to do when you get there is mellow out!

Leave your shoes at home, book a new age de-stressing treatment, get a reading done, spend the day at the beach followed by some great boutique shopping and a beer in the Beach Hotel.

Day one down, what’s next? Read on to find out curious hippies.

1. Surf or sun yourself on Byron Beach:  Some of Australia’s best beaches can be found along the northern coast of New South Wales. The sand is fine and white and the waters are clear and turquoise. There are many areas that offer great surf breaks you can even take a surfing lesson.

2. Cape Byron:  The meeting spot of the Coral Sea and the Tasman Sea, Cape Byron is the most easterly point of mainland Australia. Take a scenic walk through rainforest to the Byron Bay Lighthouse. Enjoy panoramic views and spot dolphins, rays, sea turtles, and whales.

3. Byron Beach Café: Must eat in Byron. This great café over looks Clarks Beach and does awesome food wit the best restaurant view in Byron - need I say more?!

4. Byron Bay Markets: These markets are the biggest in the area, with several acres of neatly-arranged stalls selling an enormous variety of special hand-crafted items, exotic imports, fresh produce and take-away food.  You name it, they sell it.

5. Horse riding Byron Bay:  Choose from a beach or trail ride, either way you’ll have a wonderfully enjoyable and scenic experience on these intelligent and gentle creatures.

6. Byron Bay Hinterland: The hinterland is one of Byron Bay's true untouched gems, teeming with natural features from lush rainforest to cascading waterfalls. Take a guided walk or meander along one of many walking tracks.

7. The Byron at Byron Spa and Wellness Centre: One of the world’s finest – so fine even the highly strung Naomi Campbell came to stay and chilled out. Here you can restore balance, health and youthful beauty.

8. Splendour in the Grass:  Byron’s annual music, arts and culture event. Huge winter musical festival with huge headlining acts held over three rocking and rolling days.

9. Byron Bay Bluesfest: The East Coast International Blues & Roots Music Festival, also known as Byron Bay Bluesfest, is an annual music festival held for five days over the Easter long weekend. Featuring the best selection of blues and roots performers, both international and Australian.

10. Byron Bay Beach Hotel:  Not sure if I need to state the obvious but here goes. Located right on main beach you can practically stumble from bar to beach.  Opening from 8am for coffee then soaking up the sun in the beer garden over lunch from the beach kitchen and entertainment every night. Bars, beer garden, beach kitchen, big screen sport and entertainment, classic Byron.

There you have it, famous for its beaches, the light house, surfing, old hippies, young bohemians and lots of tourists – enjoy!

Byron Bay is a awesome place to relax, just apart from your daily boring life schedule you can spend a lot of free and quality time here. My most favorite places there in Byron Bay are Byron Beach Cafe, Byron Bay Beach Hotel and specially the Surfing or Horse riding on the Byron Beach. Besides that if you are shopping addicted like me Byron Bay Markets is your ideal destination. Thank you.
