This iconic hotel unveils a $10 million makeover and is bringing sexy back to Hastings Street. Does anyone remember the pink exterior – oh it’s famous alright? Famous for being a pink…salmon pink!

The Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa has finally finished its renovations and has unveiled its new contemporary look inside and out.

The Sheraton has always enjoyed ‘iconic’ status and was the first high-end, upscale hotel to land in Noosa. However 23 years on it was lacking in lustre and pizzazz. The resort has been completely updated and while it still retains its distinctive features (not the pink exterior) it now offers guests a contemporary and fresh new look.

The conference centre has also had a facelift to meet the needs of today’s modern event planner. Business guests and conference professionals can enjoy a fully automated three metre screening in the Noosa Ballroom, with newly installed high definition projectors, all digitally controlled and projecting the most advanced defined images possible.

The Noosa Ballroom offers a 300 guest theatre style seating, 140 cabaret style or 220 for a seated dinner. There is also the Laguna 1, 2 and 3 meeting rooms and the Lilly Pond Terrace for trade exhibitions.

In terms of dinning there are three options. The Noosa Beach house which is casual by day and grown up at night with a cocktail bar to rival any city slicker bar. River Lounge offers an alternative to the hustle and bustle of Hastings Street with views of the river, high tea or a contemporary meal.  Lastly the Waters Edge Pool Bar – what self respecting 5 * hotel would be without one?!
