This is a tricky one. Ultimately everyone wants to see the world and experience new and exotic locations. If asked where would you rather go, San Carbo (Mexico) for a conference or Bondi Beach, Australia. Everyone one in the room will say Mexico, however we would argue to anyone who wants to listen, Australia is the best place on earth and why would you go anywhere else – we have it all.

And we do! It is the unique and authentic experiences paired with luxury standards that make Australia an extraordinary incentive destination.

Luxury and the desire to be inspired, to connect with the environment, to learn from the people and culture is what makes Australia so great.  From the bars to the bush, the coral to the cricket, these are the experiences you should have at home before you consider taking your delegates overseas.

Results from a recent Facebook survey undertaken by Tourism Australia highlight the important role about Australia and promoting the country as a travel destination of choice.  Phots of our furry friends, white sandy beaches and landscapes posted on Tourism Australia’s Facebook page are influencing international visitors to travel to Australia thanks to the site’s 6.2 million followers.

The Facebook survey found 72 per cent of followers used the page for "holiday inspiration", and 82 per cent said the page had influenced the likelihood of travelling to Australia.  16 per cent of followers had actually made a travel booking based on a post they liked about Australia.

Australia offers a very personal connection to the landscape, the culture and an authentic sense of place. You can discover unforgettable coasts, reefs and islands, mountains and vibrant food and wine regions and endless horizons of the outback.

Most first-time visitors to any country go for pleasure, sightseeing and adventure in a new and different place, whether it's close by or on the other side of the globe. Here's why you may want to holiday, business or create incentive travel ideas in Australia.

The lure of Australia lies in the great number of unique Australia attractions.

  1. Uluru. Formally known as Ayers Rock.
  2. Great Barrier Reed
  3. The Kimberley
  4. The Whitsundays
  5. Kakadu National Park
  6. Margaret River Region
  7. Wineglass Bay, Tasmania
  8. Great Ocean Road Victoria

As Australians we are always going to want to travel and see the world and experience all the weird and wonderful places the world has to offer, but before we do it’s always good to see your own backyard first. You really can’t compare Australia to any overseas destination. Each country has its own unique places that are a once in a lifetime experience. So the answer to Australia v’s overseas – both!
