This one is interesting. Again (like nomadic tents) this is not a picturesque location, fabulous food or outstanding service; however what it offers to locals and local businesses defiantly deserves a mention in Breeze Bites.

For those who don’t know what Rabbit & Cocoon Alley is – it’s a creative precinct at Miami that provides spaces and resources for people to run creative practices, businesses and events that contribute towards the cultural ecology of the Gold Coast and beyond.

Now in local terms. It’s the most fabulous little hub of creativity you’ll see on the Gold Coast, and it’s at Miami. These used warehouses are filled with Gold Coast artists, designers, musicians, film-makers, writers, fashion designers and entrepreneurs.

Rabbit & Cocoon also hosts the markets once a month – Miami Marketta. You can wander through with a beer in one hand while listening to great music picking up little bargains in one of 55 art stalls. They also host public programs for local and visiting audiences and collaborate on projects that foster cultural development and social inclusion – what more do you need?!

The alley is open to the public during normal trading hours where you’ll find incredible artistic shops; fashion, shabby chic furniture and music. They also host special events and cater to all sorts of creative industries including; visual arts, film, design, fashion, music and lifestyle.

If this little piece of information has got your creative juices flowing I suggest (no I urge) you to go down and visit this welcoming lane out.

Paris has the Montmartre the Gold Coast has Rabbit & Cocoon Alley.
