Awesome venues

I know I keep saying this, but one of my New Year resolutions is to be inspired and get creative, and this blog is going to be no different.  I want to go all out and look to Las Vegas for a little bit of awesome venue inspiration. I know, I know, Vegas might be a little extreme, but when inspiration is needed; looking at what others are doing around the world may help to think differently and create something unique.

When i’m searching for the perfect venue I think how can I surprise my guests, how can I get them saying wow when they walk through the door…maybe it’s not even a door they walk through….you see where I’m going with this?!

In the land of crazy Las Vegas finding a place to host an event is like finding sand at the beach, it’s everywhere; every hotel casino and convention centre has something going on, or wants it going on.

The most popular and wow venue is the Hilton - being the most sought after convention space in the city. Last year there were over 150 convention events throughout the city, from a meeting of ballooning lovers to the gay rodeo association (my personal favourite).

However new places like the Wynn and the Mandalay Bay Convention Centre (see photo) are giving the Hilton a run for its money. The Mandalay Bay is fast becoming one of the busiest and is home to over 200 meetings a year. If you take a virtual tour its easy to see why with AMMAAAzing facilities over looking Vegas and the desert.

Every profession comes to Vegas and seems to have some kind of link to one of the convention centres.

One venue that interested me was Madame Tussauds; here guests had the opportunity to mingle with more than 100 of the world’s hottest celebrities, politicians, athletes and legends and all in attendance for your function. Guests were encouraged to touch, interact and be photographed with their favourite celebrity crush.
