Having the best possible website plays a huge role in attendees or a client’s decision making process to use your company or come to your event. Most websites (including mine before I got it up to scratch) make trivial mistakes and jeopardise online success. You need to have that razzle dazzle event planning website – it makes all the difference of converting a sale or not.

There are many things that make a good website however the important one for me and Breeze Events website is keeping it updated. Running an updated blog is the best way to make sure your event website is always fresh, content rich and search engine friendly. Work out your content plan wisely and always ensure your blog content is informative and engaging.

Also all websites need a call to action. By that I mean what do you want your readers to do when they visit your website? You need to get your prospective client to take immediate action on your homepage. So having clear visuals that drive your visitors to make the final decision is of utmost importance.

Displaying your social icons should be a must too. Four or five well set up popular channels are more than enough. Another common mistake that websites make is flash animations and automatic sounds. My pet hate is having music or sounds come on. I instantly close the website never to return, and you don’t want that.

So what makes a good website?

In short: great content, great design and good organisation.

These to me are the elements to a great site; you’ll never have a good website without them.
