Another month has rolled on by! At this rate it will be Christmas – wait it was…Christmas in July at the Progressive Catering Kitchen. It was an amazing culinary experience. See my Facebook page for all the glorious food details.
Breeze bites
1. 3 things Event Managers should absolutely never do at an event:
- Get drunk
- Tuck into the buffet
- Hit on a delegate (unless he’s outrageously good looking and unmarried).
2. Event brain teaser
Imagine you’re in a dark room with a locked door. All you have with you is a rope and a pencil. You can hear the rain outside, but there are no windows. How do you get out? See my Facebook page for the answer.
Wrapped up
Groove ‘n’ Food Festival
Dam man…Groove ‘n’ Food festival is over for another year. If you happened to be getting married or having a baby last weekend… I can’t think why anyone would have missed three days of awesome music and mouth-watering food as the Groove ‘n’ Food train rolled its way around Burleigh!
The first ever Burleigh BBQ Cook Off was a great success. The teams battled it out against the clock to hand their meat in early Sunday morning. The Channel 7 Sunrise weather crew were there bright and early for the weather report and to see the winner crowned. See my Facebook page for all the details and photos.
Opera at the Channon
Another incredible weekend wrapped up. This historic event yet again delivered to bring an afternoon of fine food, wine and songs from famous and popular operas. In its 18th year and still going strong with more than 600 people in attendance.
Huge crowds and a huge effort from the Combined Rotary Clubs of Lismore. See you next year Opera at the Channon. If you missed it check out my Facebook page for all the spectacular moments.
